Often when we talk about skincare, we focus on our face. We sometimes forget that there’s much more to our skin than what’s on our head. The skin is our body’s largest organ, so there’s much that we can be doing to keep it looking firm and youthful. We’ve put together our favorite tricks for keeping your skin looking healthy all over:
1) Sunscreen in the car:
Our hands can be a telltale giveaway for how old we really are, so protecting them is a vital part of any anti-aging regimen. We recommend putting sunscreen on them every day. The sun’s rays can penetrate the glass in the car’s window, so driving for long periods of time can discolor or wrinkle your hands.
2) Give your feet a treat:
It’s summer and that means sandal season. You want your feet to look their best, so that means taking care of them accordingly. It’s easy for feet to get dry and cracked, so moisturizing daily right after getting out of the shower will show the best results. If you shower at night, moisturize your feet and put on a pair of cotton socks while you sleep and wake up with silky soft heels. For an extra boost of softness, use a pumice stone every few days.
3) Dare to bare:
The chest is another primary indicator for determining how old someone is. The skin on your chest is much thinner than that of your face, so time’s effects, like dark spots, can appear more easily. Include your neck and chest in your skincare routine. It’s especially important to exfoliate and use anti-aging products on this sensitive area for best results. Also, consider the fabrics you wear. Itchy materials like wool can leave your chest red and irritated.
