We polled our team here at Silk Therapeutics to find out how they’re gearing up for a fulfilling 2018 at the office and beyond. Here are four of our favorites:

  1. Make time for you. Set aside time each day to do something for you. Perhaps it’s getting outside before work to de-stress, or indulging in a face mask while you read a chapter of your favorite book. These days it can seem hard to find time, but carving out as little as ten minutes to recharge helps you be present for others and for life’s other priorities. —Christina Teves, VP, Strategic Planning & Communications

  2. Identify (very) specific goals and map the course. Perhaps you want to give back to your community, learn a new language, clean up your beauty routine, or run a race. Regardless of your goal, it’s important to understand why you want to achieve it, to set achievable milestones along the way, and to build in opportunities to connect with allies who’ll champion and support your effort. —Victoria Collotta, VP of Professional Services & Education

  3. Be an agent for change. Do one thing to make your neighborhood, your community, and/or your office a better, fairer, more livable place. It needn’t be big to have a big impact. —Dr. Rebecca Lacouture, Co-founder, President & COO

  4. Be kind. To others and to yourself. Choose connection and encourage others to do the same. Starting a fresh year with a positive mindset is key and can be infectious to those around you. —Cate Hannum, Content, Design & Social Media
